I wanted to try one of the mega boats as my previous experiences have been with mid-large sized boats. I've cruised with Carnival, Celebrity, HAL, NCL, Princess and RCI and have mild expectations but RCI was a terrible disappointment for food (free and specialty dining), easily worse of any cruiseline I've been on.

Dining

MDR - Food temperature, taste and overall quality of ingredients and selection was disappointing, crab cake was just a gooey mess, salmon was always hard as a puck, pasta was overcooked and sauce watery and bland. Soups were always way too salty. Service was good when the servers were around, but they are of course usually too busy
