Having cruised for the first time ever on Norwegian Epic last year in the Med we decided to try something different this year and hit the Caribbean. The choice came down to RCL, NCL, Princess or Celebrity, I figured we weren't really a Carnival family.

Celebrity was an awesome choice, the ship was stunning, the crew friendly and none of the venues ever felt crowded or overly busy, even on sea days.

Check-in at Miami was super smooth we dropped off the hire car at the Intercon Hotel at Bayside, a 10-minute cab ride we were at the side of the ship and onboard within 30 minutes of arriving, being in a Concierge cabin has its benefits.

Concierge Class 3

Cabin C3

Very clean and spacious. The bathroom had loads of storage, a great shower and lovely toiletries.

The balcony had room for 2 reclining deck chairs and a table, perfect for evening sundowners.

The afternoon hors-d'oeuvres were nothing special if honest, barely a bite or a cube of jelly! The complimentary bottle of sparkling wine was lovely though.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Organised our own trip to the beach, water bus $7 per person for an all-day ticket took us to the beach where we picked up some sun beds from a local bar for $20.

There is still a fair amount of damage left over from last years hurricane but as we only had a morning, we sailed at 4pm, it was a nice way to relax.
