We wanted to see the Panama Canal which was the best part of the cruise. The canal portion was well done with an on-board historian who explained the building of the canal as we passed through various locks.
The two land tours were a waste of money. Limon, Costa Rica was a depressing and dirty city. Nearly all the residential homes had not only iron fencing around them but there was razor wire on top of all the fences. While the Cayman Islands were prettier, our guide loved to hear himself talk and talk. He ended up taking us to sleazy shops where he would get a cut of what his tour people spent.
The ship was nice enough and very clean looking if older decor. The meals were good with plenty of choices both at the buffet and in the dining room. We had one steak dinner at Nick and Nora's which was exceptional---both service and food. It was worth the extra $35pp.
very nice and clean cabin which was maintained nicely by our cabin gal
the door to the balcony was not tight, so wind whistled through it all night long
the threshold to the balcony was 7 inches high which made for easy tripping when exiting the room
