Quick 7 day cruise from Melbourne Australia to Tasmania Australia return. Lovely time of the year. Ship is dated and in desperate need of refurb. The beds are old & hard, like sleeping on the floor. Steward provided a mattress topper but definitely not luxury and sheets were old and threadbare. The towels are also in need of upgrade. Definitely not a luxury cruise ship. No Egyptian cotton sheets or Towels, no pillow selection and no decent comfortable queen or king size bed, only 2 single beds pushed together with the ridge dominant when sleeping. The degustation we attended was the highlight of the food & wine, definitely recommend. We enquired about the suites and asked about the bedding, linen etc and told all rooms on board have the same quality of items in rooms. Glad we only paid for a balcony. Would have to think twice about travelling with RC again. We have completed 12 cruises and this was the worse. They heavily promote an experience and luxury, I didn't see that at all.

The steward tried to help but mentioned the linen is the same throughout the ship. The destinations were lovely (Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania (Hobart) ) I feel with all the promotion, advertising and stiff competition for the cruise dollar, basics are being forgotten. Staff always very helpful.
Lovely historic town, travelled to Puddleduck winery, very happy with wines, bought 1 carton to be posted home.
Love Melbourne, travelled on the tram to Ackland Street, St.Kilda for lunch at Rococo, amazing Italian food, fantastic location watching trams and people whilst have a awesome pasta.
