We were going on a five days cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda. The day before we left we got a text and e-mail that due to Hurricane Florence the ship was now going to the Bahamas. We were given the option to cancel. If you went on the cruise they refunded 50% of the cost less taxes to your onboard account to use. Whatever you did not use was refunded back to your credit card. They were also giving us a voucher for 50% less taxes to use towards another cruise. They did a great job of getting us to the Bahamas in a short time. After our first day there we were informed that our cruise was extended to 8 days due to the hurricane. We got extended time in the Bahamas and then got two night in Port Canaveral. They got excursions set up, gave us phone numbers to local pharmacies in case you needed more medication, one day provided, free of charge, a bus to run to the pharmacies/beach. They offered drink packages for the extra days at 50 % off as well as that same discount on laundry, specialty restaurant etc.

The trip back took 2 1/2 days because they went so far out to sea to avoid the really large waves and wind. They did a great job. They also got luggage people to come to the Baltimore port and help out.

I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. It was not my first time cruising with Royal Caribbean and it will not be my last.
