We have been on a few ocean cruises and decided that we wanted to take a river cruise. The Danube River and the sites along the way appealed to us, as we have ancestors who came from this area. The trip was lovely, the weather outstanding and we enjoyed it all.The ship was clean and the crew very pleasant and helpful. The food wasoutstanding and we liked the idea of the chef's recommendations at the evening meal. We really enjoyed all of the shore excursions we chose. The guides were all very knowledgeable and helpful and it was a wonderful opportunity to learn about daily life in countries that were new to us. We did a lot of walking, but that was okay since we needed to walk off our fabulous meals. The cobblestones were a challenge, especially if anyone walked with a walker or cane. We were very glad that we chose to add days to our river cruise for the beginning and end of the trip. We got to do some exploring on our own for the extra days, and would certainly recommend that to everyone. Our hotels for this part of the journey were very nice and conveniently located.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with French Balcony

Cabin A

This cabin was nice, albeit a little cramped. The room between the end of the bed and the desk was a little tight, making it necessary to crawl over the bed if we were using our computer at the desk. The bathroom was small, and the shower problematic. How does anyone shave their legs in a shower stall like that? And the moveable wall was a challenge.
