Having cruised with NCL before, we trusted that we would be allocated nice cabins so were disgusted when we arrived in our 4th deck rooms. Realizing that we were in the bowels of the ship, with the engine room just below us and unable to move to a higher deck as we were told that the ship was full and nothing was available, we spent a week of sleepless nights with the engines whining and whining the nights away.

Being used to a good selection of food in the buffet restaurants we found fat pretending to be bacon, scrambled eggs like powder or even cuscus, although there was an egg station cooking good fresh eggs and omlettes, to our dismay we had a choice of either tomatoes or beans or searching all around the restaurant to try to find the missing article. There were special menus each day and some were quite nice but only some.

Trying the other restaurants onboard meant long waits and in O’sheans bar and restaurant, even though it was almost empty we were told that if we were not eating, we had to move and get our own drinks from the bar.
