We are frequent cruisers with Royal Caribbean. After this cruise, we are Diamond in their loyalty program. This was our second time on the Anthem. We chose this cruise because love sailing out of NJ (less than a 1.5 hour drive for us) and like the longer cruises. We had two connecting cabins - one for my husband and I and one for our 3 kids (11, 9, 9).

Overall, we had a great time. We were able to book the shows and experiences we wanted beforehand. Our room was clean and well maintained and our room steward was wonderful. There were many activities. We particularly liked some of the non-standard trivia - word play games and such.

Some island/excursion highlights included the trip we did on the Restless Native catamaran in Bermuda. It was a beautiful sail out to the cove and we loved swimming around, snorkeling, and cliff diving/jumping. We rented a bungalow in Labadee on Columbus Cove. That was money very well spent as it provided shade and a comfortable place for our family and kids to hang out.

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 2D

Great location for us as the Kid's Club was super close one deck down. Far from most food.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We walked to El Morro and explored. We also brought kites for the kids (bought them at 5 Below beforehand) and flew them on the large grassy area.
