Cabin: Vista Suite with Balcony

We recently had a 13 night cruise around Japan on the Diamond Princess and it was just wonderful. Events out of the control of the Captain forced a couple of cancelled Port visits but that goes with the region, typhoons, earthquakes and landslide - safety first.

After receiving a complimentary upgrade to a Suite we were very excited to find our cabin was a the back of the boat and had a lovely balcony with table, chairs & 2 sun beds, the cabin itself was lovely - large bathroom, lounge & bedroom - very spoilt. Our cabin attendant was a marvel, Lauro, went out of his way to make us feel welcome & at home. We didn't eat in the restaurants as we like the buffet - and the food there was excellent, got the shuttle bus at most ports of call and did 2 tours which were both very entertaining and enjoyable.

The entertainment was ok, think the Royal Carribean have the edge on that aspect but it certainly wasn't a negative.

Vista Suite with Balcony

Cabin S6

We had booked a mini suite and got an upgrade to suite - this was a lovely surprise and the cabin way beyond our expectations. Very roomy, large bathroom and robe with more storage space than needed. Not sure would pay for a suite but it certainly was lovely
