This was our first visit to Hawaii and so we wanted to make sure we were able to check out the big 4 islands and subsequently come back to the specific island we would love the most. Very happy to say that overall we were very happy with most aspects - in terms of embarkation, disembarkation, cabin, ship condition, most service employees. The ship pretty much was bang on target in terms of docking and leaving the port as announced. While travelling from Hilo to Kona, the captain did take the ship near the volcanoes at night time (though slight distance) but was worth it.

Dining - Use the Skydeck and Aloha buffet area on most days. The 2 females serving in the Italian and Asian sections were the worst in terms of customer service. Every time we visited those areas, there were always complaining and didn't pay much attention to the guests and their needs. I wouldn't blame Norwegian for the horrible services provided by these females since everyone else was extremely nice, helpful and respectful at all times. I hope NCL would have gotten the feedback about these 2 females and have them replaced with someone who would not only help guests but help less damage their reputation in terms of service..The service staff at the skydeck restaurant was amazingly helpful - always trying to serve your needs - whatever that might be by even going above and beyond the food options available for that day...

Entertainment - Limited entertainment options during the day which is not surprising since most folks are out during the day time on various excursions or related activities and not on the ship. From 7 - 10, typically they had a few things lined up and was enjoyable for the most part.

Cabin Review

Family Inside

Except for the late evening and night time, we were pretty much out on excursions and didn't have any problems with the cabin accommodation. No smell or no other issues - none. The room care taker was extremely helpful and provided a lot of valuable information every time we asked him - which helped us a lot. The cabin had everything one could probably require in terms of amenities including multiple electric plug ports as well.
