So we tried the pay-for restaurants, two of them. Ocean Blue had great servers but the food was not special in any way, despite being quite expensive. The bread there is the best thing on the ship though. We went to Cagney's steakhouse twice as it was the best food on the ship, but it was not great either. Chewy ribeye, vegetables cooked to death, and it took forever. No idea why people rave about the Tropicana room, it was just another loud dining room with bad service and lousy food. The other two dining rooms... same thing.
The Irish pub, O'Sheehans has corned beef hash for breakfast which was little cubes of potatoes and maybe 1/2 ounce (5 tiny cubes) of chewy, fatty corned beef. Gross.
We had a free liquor package as apparently most of the ship did. Lots of drunks and the elevator floors were always wet. The cocktails were good, no complaints there. The pools were hopelessly crowded, noisy and full of drunks. Sloppy drunk, not fun drunk.
The ports were not special. Costa Maya had tons of seaweed. It stunk. The ship's island in Belize was an absolute joke... the tiny beach had visibility of about 3 inches, was also full of seaweed, and it exists just to get you to spend more money. We never found the BBQ.
Overall we hated this cruise so much you would have to pay us 4k to take it again. Most of the servers were not friendly. You could not take food out of the restaurants, which made breakfast a problem since we get up late. Room service costs 8. We saw very few officers and the ones we saw were sloppy and grim. The cabin attendants are clearly overworked.
The one bright spot of the whole cruise was the entertainment. Million dollar quartet was incredibly good. The dancers were extremely talented. The steampunk show with Cirque was OK - do not be fooled like we were, this is not Cirque de Soleil. And the dinner they serve is steak with peppercorns, almost inedible if you dislike them. We had to sit looking sideways after paying extra for floor seats, mostly what we saw was the back of people's heads. Really disappointing. There are no movies on demand for a quiet time in the stateroom and almost no programming. No movie theater. Just a bad cruise overall.

SnorkelingWe booked this online and it was less than 30., way cheaper than the ship. There was tons of seaweed which was nasty and stinky. However, we saw great fish, an eagle ray, and lots of turtles, which made it worthwhile. Took a taxi to Krazy Lobster beach; they do not charge for loungers and umbrellas. We ate tacos which weren't very good but they didn't make us sick.View All 73 Snorkeling Reviews
Catamaran tourShould have cost about 25. There was nothing to see when snorkeling. The ship staff were very personable and attentive but we took this trip for good snorkeling. The beach break was a bust because it rained. The only food was hamburgers for 10. In Mexico we would have liked to have had Mexican food. We ran into a horrible storm on the way back with lightning striking right next to us, and rain pouring onto everyone.View All 117 Catamaran tour Reviews
Harvest CayeWorst stop ever. This place sucks. Tiny, dirty beach with seaweed and muddy water. We walked all over and could not find the BBQ lunch, not one sign for it. The main attraction is the big pool, which is nothing special. Everything costs money. Hated it.View All 973 Harvest Caye Cruise Port Reviews

Little French KeyWe loved this place! The snorkeling was just OK but the little island was clean and fun. Nice clear water. The lunch was provided and it was the best food we had on the ship. Simple but delicious. Buy the key lime pie. The staff was great.View All 59 Little French Key Reviews
