The first cruise we ever did years ago was with Thompson on the island escape and we thoroughly enjoyed it - it was the Start of the cruise bug.. Since then we actually cruised with Royal Caribbean - BUT THAT WILL CHANGE FROM NOW ON !! Just finished a two week cruise on the Marella Explorer and I am delighted to say that it exceeded all our expectations - above and beyond! From check in at Dublin Airport with Tui everything went smoothly. The ship was gorgeous, the cabin was immaculate thanks to the lovely Deni, the food in latitude was absolutely gorgeous with a great variety, the Mediterranean Bar and restaurant is an great addition to the ship and not to be missed. They also do the nicest pina colada served by Marlon - an excellent waiter who never let your glass go empty!! The entertainment in the Broadway lounge was EXCELLENT - SUCH TALENTED SINGERS AND DANCERS. All of the staff were genuinely friendly. Overall 10/10 for everything on board, we can honestly say we haven't got one bad thing to say about our overall experience.
