Sail Date: Aug 2018

We flew into Newark airport and spent the night at Wyndham Garden hotel. We do not recommend either. The boarding the next day was unbelievably easy and fast. The balcony cabin was ok but seemed smaller than ever before. We sailed RC once before and really enjoyed it. This time was a lot different. In all other ship's cabins we had a coffee table in front of the sofa. There was no table or even appeared that there could have been space for one. My husband always liked to have breakfast in the room. Not only did we have to pay for this but there was no where to eat it in the room. We do not like that so many daytime activities cost extra. There was a good deal on soda in the room for $12 for six cans, The buffet was way too crowded. The main dining food was banquet quality and not much change from night to night. We tried to do anytime dining for the one night we would get back from an excursion too late to make the 5:30 seating and were told we could not change our time at all. We were surprised but then told we could join our regular table whenever we got back. And we do not remember ever seeing an option to upgrade your choice for more money on any other cruise in the main dining room. Our waiter, Rashon, however, was the best we have ever met. We did enjoy the entertainment but why are the bar shows so short? Ports of call were not that interesting. Seemed like you needed to take a bus to an interesting port town. We did do Kennebunkport. The hop on hop off bus at St. John and Halifax was not that great. The weather was great and the seas the calmest we have ever seen.
