Cabin: Balcony

We booked this cruise, our 5th last minute, only 3 weeks from departure. I was worried about the cabins left but as it turned out, we loved it. We had a balcony cabin on deck 8 which was aft and close to the elevator. It was central to all our favorite places!

Embarkation wasn't fun as it was outside in Cape Canaveral. This was my first time waiting in a line outside the terminal. However, once we did get moving we were on the ship by 11:00 without FTTF.

As always, we loved Guys, Mongolian Wok and Blue Iguana. We did utilize the Lido buffet twice for the omelet station and remarkably, the wait wasn't too bad. We did run out of strawberry yogurt day 6 and that was upsetting. OH, but the cake station during lunchtime is phenomenal!

Balcony

Cabin 8D

We absolutely loved this cabin. It had a balcony and had a view of deck 5 below which was fun. It was close to the elevator and we were just seconds from lido and deck 5.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

The embarkation process was done outside. I didn't care for this. It was HOT.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We just explored the area around the port and it was beautiful. Lots of shopping, eateries and a huge pool with a swim up bar and lazy river were right there! It was all so clean and nice.

St. Thomas

It was ok.

San Juan

The city is beautiful and looks so historical and colorful. We just walked around and saw plenty and took lots of pretty pictures.

Grand Turk

This port also had a huge beach with all the excursions you could want available right there. The water was clear but there was seaweed in places which was ick. There is a great Margaritaville right there with a huge store. Loved it.
