Booked this trip of the Danube River, after having a perfect experience a few years ago on the Rhine River with Avalon Waterways. Really wanted to see Prague, which was the main reason we chose the itinerary. Avalon Waterways always has well planned itineraries, excellent food, personable & friendly staff, and very clean ships (which is a MAJOR plus coming from someone who is a neat freak/germophobe). Will definitely be planning another trip with Avalon in the future!! Some of the highlights of the Danube Dream experience: was shopping the Great Market Hall in Budapest, purchasing a necklace made out of stones from the Danube @ Donau Stein located in Durnstein, and exploring the wonderful old town of Passau. Took the optional excursion to Salzburg, Austria and thoroughly enjoyed all the Mozart history and catching some glimpses of the beautiful Alps. Met many wonderful travelers on the Avalon cruise! Great overall trip worth taking!!
