My wife and I wanted to do a river cruise as we have friends who had been on numerous cruises and thoroughly enjoyed their experiences! Along with two other couples, we contacted our agent at AAA, and she was so helpful in planning our Rhine River cruise with Avalon.We boarded the Avalon Felicity in Amsterdam in route to Basel Switzerland. Every day we were given the option of a guided port and shore excursions of the many places we docked at. Amazing!

Due to low water on the Rhine, we did have to transfer to the Avalon Affinity to continue our trip to Basel. The staff was extremely accommodating with our transfer, and made it as smooth as possible.

The accommodations on the Felicity and the Affinity were comfortable, cabin size exceeded our expectations and the room service was impeccable and given the small number of guests on board, it was easy to make new acquaintances.! Read more
