This was our 6th cruise with Carnival and our first on the Legend. As usual, Carnival does what it takes to keep us coming back! Residing in Canada, we have to get the best bang for our buck. The airfare to get to Florida is as much as or sometimes more than the cost of the cruise. Check-in, registration and boarding the ship were smooth and flawless. I recommend travelling to Florida the day before so that you can get on the ship early and enjoy your first day. Our cabin was ready at 1:30 p.m. as promised and our luggage was outside our door an hour later. Our cabin staff (stealth Ninja's!) took care of our every need. They kept the cabin spotless and were in and out in a jiffy. The dining room staff was terrific as usual and the food was perfectly cooked and presented as usual. Come to think of it.....ALL staff was friendly and terrific. They always greeted you with a hello and a smile. Jen the Cruise Director was awesome. She was hilarious, with her Liverpool accent combined with energy and a wonderful sense of humour. The shows were PHENOMENOL! A balancer, a comedic juggler and a hypnotist!! WOW!! Some of the reviews we read said that they thought the ship's decor was "gaudy" or "tacky". We thought it was perhaps a bit more elegant than the other Carnival ships. No offence to our neighbours south of the 49th parallel but this ship had the least amount of "un-American" dEcor or any we've sailed on. Beautiful murals, glassworks and fine china in display cases. On the last "Sea Day" we experienced a technical problem that resulted in our arrival back in Tampa being pushed back by 8 hours. The staff was quick to put together a Carnival Capers for yet another "Sea Day" without a hitch. All of the breakfast and lunch dining options were still available along with the regular games and activities. As you can imagine though, many passengers including us, had resulting flight issues to be worked out. We have used the Carnival "Sail Aweigh" Program for our last 4 cruises. This is where Carnival takes care of booking your cruise and flight as one package. As a result, we didn't have to reorganize anything. They did it all for us at no extra charge and with a smile on their face. A new flight itinerary was delivered to our stateroom. The 8 hour delay into Tampa only resulted in a 4 hour delay in getting back home to Toronto. Great job Carnival and we can't wait for our next cruise with you!!

Cabin Review

Good sized balcony cabin for 2 people. Not sure if they have upper berth balcony cabins (ours didn't) but it would be tight on moving around and storage space for more than 2 people. We were right by the elevators but the hallway was always very quiet. Good sized balcony......for 2 only.
