Ship: The Sensation is a much older ship. However, this does not justify how dirty and run down it was. The decks needed refinishing, and the public areas were not cleaned or maintained well. As an example, the smoking section was filthy most of the cruise. Even early in the morning there would be plates, cups, and food sitting around (left over from the night before), and the ashtrays seemed to always be overflowing.

Atmosphere: Overall, this is nothing short of a frat party, all day – every day. Beer being sold by the yard, guests drinking to excess, and pot being smoked in cabins and on the smoking deck. If you are an early riser looking for some quite time, note that the music will be banging on deck.

Cabin: We stayed in a Veranda Suite. The room was badly maintained. The air conditioner did not work appropriately, the shower faucet handle fell off three times, the Kleenex box holder fell off the wall two times, the curtained were ripped in several locations, and the room was generally run down and tired looking.
