Recommendation of a friend. Food in dining rooms was terrible. Every meal was cheap, bland, tough, tasteless...... Have not had chef boy r d gravy in 40 years! Waiter warned us "don't get the lobster" on lobster night. Saw one next table over: soggy pile of grey matter. Thanks for the warning! Bought 2 drink packages, 15 drink limit, (wasn't told that). No big deal but could not get a second drink for friends without engaging in a covert operation! Service at bars and eating areas was sub par. Tenders, waiters, were largely unatentive and clearly disinterested. Scowls on their faces did remind me of home though. Paid a lot of dough to get away from that, no success! Tried to make reservations in fine dining restaurants, $30 up charged, in hopes of getting a decent meal, all were booked up! Was not surprised. Stateroom was ok, attendant was the only smiling, employee I dealt with. She was exceptional. Thought blowing off steam here would help, I'm wrong, just getting more annoyed. Princess, one and done! Just so you think I'm not one of "those guys", we went on a viking cruise, Amsterdam to Budapest in 2016 and had a wonderful time throughout.
