We chose this cruise because we have always wanted to go to Norway, where my husband's maternal family is from. We had the bonus of his sister and her husband being able to join us on this cruise. We have really loved our Viking river boat cruises on the Rhine and Elbe rivers, so were anxious to try a small ship. It was over so quickly, we are now looking forward to our Med cruise on Viking in spring 2020.
The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed having the veranda, especially since we had wonderful, warm weather. The only improvement for us would be more places to hang clothing and towels when showering, and a way to turn off the closet light so it did not wake the person still trying to get some sleep.
The restaurants were very good, and we loved the main dining room for breakfast and dinner. We tried the special dining room for the Chinese dinner, but still preferred the view in the main dining room. But our favorite places were the Explorers Lounge where we went before and after dinner, and the back of the boat on the second floor with the couches and panoramic view while underway!
This was a nice walking tour and we saw many facets of life in Skagen, a beach community.
This tour was bus and walking. We saw many sights in a fairly short excursion and the walk in Viegland Park was nice, but it was very hot that day so lots of walking for some people. We took the foot ferry and did the Viking Ship Museum on our own in the morning, it should not be missed.View All 41 City Tour Reviews
Being with a guide and getting the history of the artist and the many sculptures in the park made it much more interesting and enriching.View All 40 Vigeland Sculpture Park Reviews
This was a walking tour and very interesting as it is a very old and now prosperous town. The walking was not at an easy level, so that should be considered for sure.
This was our favorite town on the trip, and we had a wonderful lunch on shore at the outdoor dining across from the ship.View All 57 The Old Town Reviews
We took the bus to the top where the view is from the walkway out over the valley. The bus ride was not for the feint of heart or those who get carsick, but well worth it. We then stopped at the bottom to stretch our legs and see the lifestyle there, it was lovely.View All 4 Aurland Valley Reviews
