Because we wanted to see Norway, starting with a pre cruise extension visit in Oslo and then an interesting train ride across Norway with passage through numerous tunnels to Bergen for embarkation on our cruise to the North of Norway (the NorthCape). We needed to experience a cool summer climate, and get away from home as we live in HOT Arizona.

In addition we wanted to experience visits to The Shetland Islands, the Orkney Islands of Scotland, Edinburgh, and end in London for a direct flight home.

The included tours were very well planned and were informative with the history of the areas visited. Of special interest to us, especially my wife, were the visits to the Shetland Islands and Orkney Islands thinking of ancestors of our family. For me, my special interest was in visiting the home of golf at St. Andrews, Scotland.
