Cabin: Oceanview Mini-Suite

We wanted a trip that left and returned to either Seattle or Vancouver. This itinerary fit the bill and had good scenic glacier cruising. We had a mini suite aft, no balcony but extra cabin space with a large window and a viewing deck right outside our door. Cabin c202. Had a full bath with tub and was very spacious. Port stops were mostly good, although there isn’t much in Whittier. We booked all of our own excursions and had some great ones by float plane to see the bears and by small boat to see the whales and glaciers. We enjoyed this trip although in a few ports there were 3 or 4 ships which were too many for the size of the towns. We were happy we had booked our excursions before we left home due to the number of people in some of the ports. Service was good overall but the “Anytime dining” is a joke. They offer reservation times that coincide with the two traditional dining seatings. If we didn’t call by 8:30 in the morning we couldn’t get a time other than 5:15 or 5:30 and were seldom back onboard by then so only were able to eat in the dining room 3 out of 14 nights. Otherwise we ate in the buffet, which was okay occasionally but not my choice.
