Not being sure where we wanted to go for our trip we again attended the AAA Northeast Travel Show just south of Boston and after hearing various options from a number of vendors, we eventually chose the Celebrity Equinox for the itinerary and hopefully for one specific shore excursion. That one “heritage” excursion in Curacao we wanted was unfortunately not offered by the ship but was available through AAA and we eventually booked it. It was definitely worth it
We had asked the agent for a, b, and c. After calculating the costs, she said for an additional small cost of x which puts you in Concierge Class, you get all those plus, plus, plus. My response was, “so, what’s the problem?” I am so glad we opted for the upgrade as it was all that and then some! You’ll read more about it later.
We disembarked Monday, September 3rd from the Equinox. Interesting that we embarked in the middle of a deluge on August 25th and disembarked in the middle of TS Gordon! Our bus from FLL on the 25th parked in the middle of a huge puddle (read that to be almost a small lake!) in the bus bay and I commented that he did a great job "docking the bus!" Embarking and Disembarking was the easiest we've ever had, and barely broke our stride in the embarking process, and had a minimal wait on disembarking, mainly due to Customs.
As stated in my review, the cabin seemed to be a bit larger than cabins on other ships. There was plenty of room and we were not bumping into each other all the time. Our steward was on his A-game and took good care of us, keeping the cabin clean and well stocked.
