My sister chose the Princess cruise to Alaska for her 50th birthday. My family groaned at this idea because all we could think about was that it was going to be cold? Why should we pack winter clothes for a vacation? Needless to say all 12 of us, brothers, sisters and friends we set sail August 26, 2018. The port was in Seattle and it was a little chilly; however, the boat was beautiful. There was live music playing in the main lobby 6th floor while passengers were checking in. People everywhere, swimming pools are filled with water, steam rolling off the jacuzzi's and pitter patter from children running all around. Plenty of entertainment on the ship, treasure hunts, zumba, line dancing, movies, shopping, kareoke, auctions, Voice of the ocean (my sister won) and concerts.

Our first stop was Ketchikan ,small quaint town full of shops and houses on hills. The people are friendly and you will see vendors trying to pursue people to buy excursions. Lots of jewelry shops and cannibas shops. Surprised. :) Weather was rainy.

Next stop is Junea which is more shops, vendors but just a different place. My daughter and I went to a great pub and had some fish and chips. Quite good. Weather got better.
