We chose this cruise because of the itenerary of covering most of Great Britain. Overall good weather, great crew, great service, and wonderful food. The ports were good, but the ship did not go to Liverpool which was on the original itinerary when we booked, which was disappointing. The entertainment was excellent with the singers and the dancers. We understand that the dancers are no longer part of the shows. On our ship they were great! Departing London was a great expericence from our departure point on the river. There was a shuttle to shore from from the ship. The other ports were very good and some that really catered to the cruise ships. One thing to always keep in mind in this area is what currency every country uses. We tood a taxi in Dublin and that is Euro's and he only took cash not credit cards. I had every other currency in the world except Euro's. He had to drive me to a cash machine to get the cash so I could pay him. Don't hesitate to leave any of Vikings "bus tours" and go it alone. Most of the places are fairly close to the ship anyway. Would I go on this itenerary again? Probably not, seen it, done it, been there. Viking does it right! They treat you like an adult, nearly everyone has sailed with them before, most are experienced cruisers which makes for meeting like minded people terrific. Although a minor thing, it is nice to have a self service laundry on each deck. I would say the only negative is the exercise equipment which is the silly cable systems, but the spa is fantastic!

Cabin Review

Cabin Delux Veranda

The cabins are a little smallish compared to other ships and don't have a lot of storage. There is no storage compartment above the bed like some other cruise lines. The shower is small with not a lot of water pressure (of course this depends on what you are used to). But it is adequate for the small amount of time that you are actually in your cabin. The smaller ships make it easy to get from floor to floor. Many times we only took the elevator when we were going from the top deck to the bottom. Getting on and off the ship was fairly quick and easy.
