We were meeting friends who were coming to meet us on board from the UK. This was their first river cruise and one couple has already said their last. Although the itinerary was great the level of service, staff in both dining and lounge was poor to none on Scenic Jade and because we had to change ships due to water levels Scenic Jasper was ok but not great either. Not sure if staff was lacking on the Jade but the dining room manager was never there we were lucky to find a server for a cup of coffee in the morning water or beverages in the evening to start a meal. The same applied for the service in the lounge unless you went up to the bar area to request a drink the servers were slow to none. The Jasper was better but again service levels were not there Appetizers and champagne were suppose to be served but both sides were served and not the middle. Very disorganized both staff and cruise director giving false information in regards to the changing of ships. We were to get same cabin numbers on Jasper that we had on Jade and the door would be open after our bus ride of over 6.5 hours and that was false, we were given a smaller cabin that was not in the same category that we booked when we came on board. Our original ship was to be the Scenic Ruby and we were told while in transit day prior our ship was changed to the Jade. Our sailing was actually August 13, 2018. This was our second river cruise with Scenic and probably our last due to all the sickness on board both ships lack of quality of service and disorganization and bussed way too much. Very disappointing.
