We chose this Viking cruise after our wonderful Viking river cruise last year. We wanted to try an ocean cruise and the Baltic looked like the perfect opportunity. The cabins were spacious, with everyone having a veranda. Dining was diverse and excellent. The dining room staff was amazing and it was nice having multiple wine stewards. Evening entertainment was top notch and definitely worth our time. The port excursions were about the right length. No children are allowed on Viking. What makes Viking special is the treatment from the time your plane lands until you are actually heading through security on your way home. The 3 day pre-trip in Iceland was amazing. Having local guides at each port is a plus as most are very entertaining and have great local stories, some of which are probably true. Also, the stop in Eidfjord, Norway was just gorgeous, with us having the time to take a leisurely walk in the country. We have already booked our next two Viking cruises, one river and one ocean.
