The Norwegian Fjords have always captivated me so when this cruise was presented to me by Viking Ocean we jumped at it and we are glad we did. Having sailed with Viking River we knew we would have a great cabin and tremendous activities and a wonderful cultural experience. We did! We were met at the airport and was assisted by friendly staff. Our transport to the ship was comfortable and luggage was taken care of by staff. Boarding the ship was easy and our cabin ready for us. Through the time we were on ship the entire staff was friendly and eager to provide service for our enjoyment. Afternoon tea, specialized dining options, shore excursions (included) were top notch.

The entertainment was wonderful. An extremely talented group of young singers/dancers provided us with great shows and memories. there talents far exceeded that which you normally see on a cruise ship. The historians were a bit quirky but knowledgable. Our Cruise Director Aaron made our trip personal and enjoyable. Our Captain and his staff were visible and personable, especially the 3 stripers.

The included shore excursions were mostly bus trips with stops to photograph the area. All the guides spoke English well and seemed to know the area enough to give us some information about the regions. Unlike many excursions, the scenery was the experience not like others that go to a specific building or experience. The North Cape experience was mind blowing. The Shetland ponies were the most memorable excursion, though Sami spec. house was fun.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Heated floors in the bathroom! The bathroom design is larger than other lines and the added space was much appreciated. Two people could be in there at the same time without stepping on each other. Well stocked mini bar! Comfortable bed and sheets! Of all the different cruise lines we have been on we found that Viking Ocean and Viking River are much better and a tremendous value. Our cabin attendants were polite and efficient. They accomplished their duties when it was convenient for us, not some planned schedule. Thank you Adonis.
