This was our first ocean cruise after having enjoyed two river cruises with Viking. The standards of high quality were across the board. Really enjoyed the entire cruise experience. The ship was outstanding. Loved the Explorer’s Lounge and pool areas. We liked the general dining even more than the restraints requiring reservations, which I think speaks to the general quality of the food offerings. The amenities and services were the quality we’ve come to expect Fromm Viking. Love all of the decorating and fine finishes, especially our room. Our room steward room wonderful care to ensure that things were tended to properly. Also enjoyed the room service feature which we used to enjoy breakfast from our veranda as we pulled into port each morning. The excursions are nice but I wish there was an accelerated option. We like to move through things a bit faster. The only disappointing part of the trip was the post extension hotel selection. Did not care for the Athens Hilton.
