It was part of a special Viking promotion. The ship, itself, was excellent and the service was excellent. The Restaurant meals were excellent and the waitstaff was efficient and friendly. We were disappointed in some of the included shore excursions as we felt as if we had not gained a sense of the city. The exceptions to that were Oslo, Norway, where we had an outstanding tour guide and Hamburg, Germany, where we had more time to get a feel for the place. The visit to Skagen, Denmark, was good, although our tour guide didn't give us a chance to stop and take in individual sites. But it was a beautiful little city with friendly people and interesting shops. It would have been good to drop one of the Danish stops and add a Norwegian stop. If we were going to take the cruise again, I think I would sign up for some of the optional tours to get a better sense of the towns.
Housekeeping staff was excellent. Room was always clean and well supplied.
We didn't really get a chance to see much of the city, and the tour bus raced through areas that might have been interesting. Our ride out into the country gave us a nice look at surrounding farmland.
