The Summit is a very classy ship with extremely attentive staff. the main dining room had excellent food with top shelf wait staff. this ship is great for couples, not so for kids or singles. i was a single but still had fun. not many other singles at all. the mix and mingle for singles was empty except for me haha but i still had a blast. very well run ship. i'm not a big fan of having to get back to the ship at the end of the day, it would be cool to stay 2 nights at a selected port. a young american woman was killed/murdered in antigua, i believe the day before we got there. we were not warned about it and should have been if it truly was the day before. overall, i'd recommend the summit for couples, not for kids or singles. the ports were great though with really good transport at most, although i almost got left in st. thomas (which i wont go back to st. thomas b/c too commercial). i'd recommend st. kitts for a truly wonderful island visit or st. croix too. st lucia was kinda dirty and a bit scary at times, but i did have a lot of fun on an excursion to the pitons. antigua was very beautiful but not with the diversity of st kitts. antigua has had four major murders of tourists in the last 2 years. antigua had the best beaches, but its hard to match st. kitts. i'd sail on the summit again but would definitely take a loved one or a date. if you sail on the summit, have breakfast on the aft deck, catch the classical music duo before and after dinner at the coffee cafe. order a ny strip late, it doesnt add anything to the cost ie room service.
inside stateroom. pretty small for two people. but was fine for me. i loved the darkness of it for taking a nap after being on shore all day. great cabin service / steward.
