I will start off with saying that I did not chose the Carnival Sensation to sail- I was part of a large group. I have previously only sailed NCL ships and was very hesitant to sail this ship due to all the reviews. Overall, the ship is old and very outdated but let's be real people for the price you're paying. . . you are getting what you paid for in that department.

We had a balcony room with no issues. The hallway did smell like sewer and there was a room in our party who had the smell in their room. Carnival should really do something about this! Our cabin was clean for the most part, it could have used a very good dusting however, clean.

I had set my expectations low for dining due to the poor reviews and was surprised with the good meals I did get. Breakfast was typical breakfast food at the buffet or you could sit in the dining room. Lunch was not much to be desired and if you have the later dining time they close the buffet in the afternoon leaving you little to no snack options to hold you over. I have had worse meals and I have had better but I will say the Carnival lava type dessert was to DIE FOR! I have zero complaints about the service in either the buffet or dining room. The AC was not working in the buffet, which was kinda awful to come in from the pool and be just as hot. Read more
