This was our 10th cruise and our 6th with Carnival. Day 1 embarkation was very smooth, on the boat and enjoying lunch on the Lido deck within 45 minutes. Day 2 fun day at sea. Loved the aft pool. We watched the super bowl in the encore theater. Day 3 Cozumel Carnival shore excursion to Playa Mia beach club. It was beautiful, clean, and not crowed at all. We choose to take a cab on our own rather than take the bus from the ship. Cab driver was very friendly and ride was smooth and quick. The drinks were great the waiters attentive. 1st formal night (it was delayed due to the super bowl). The lobster was perfectly cooked. Our waiter George was excellent. We had a table for 2 at the early seating in the Scarlett dining room and enjoyed the dining experience every night we choose to go to the dining room. Day 4 Roatan. We did our own excursion at Maya Key. It was a truly lovely peaceful day. Snorkeling was nice, the resort was very pretty and the beach not at all crowded. Day 5 Belize We spent the day on board the ship as we have been to Belize several times and wanted a lazy day. I enjoyed the thermal suite and thallostherapy pool. My husband enjoyed the water slides. Day 6 Costa Maya The weather was less than ideal. Very high winds so our shore excursion was canceled as we would not be able to snorkel. We were so glad we booked it with Carnival, the tickets were credited back to our sign and sail account quickly and easily. Day 7 fun day at sea. We spent a day enjoying the sun and shopping on board. Our cruise experience was overall wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful. I was a little concerned about this ship after reading other reviews, but we had no problems and the dreaded "smell" was only present in small areas and certainly not overwhelming in any way. Our room steward Ruidi was attentive and kept the cabin spotless. Yes the Dream is a big ship with a lot of passengers but we didn't experience long lines. If we took the stairs more than we have in the past, well we certainly needed the exercise after all the great food! The comedy club rocks and the fun bunch was amazing!

We had more than enough closet space. The bed was very comfortable. The shower felt slightly bigger than on previous ships.
