For first time cruisers — Go. Enjoy the experience. It is an awesome ship and it has its own character, charm, and wow factor. Every cruise that I have been on (as well as every hotel) has their hiccups and if you are unfortunate to experience an inconvenience, bring it up with the staff as I am certain that they are concerned with giving you a top shelf experience. Remember, it’s a cruise, chill out and enjoy the time. 5/5 for our time on the ship.

For the experienced cruisers — This was our 5th cruise (Carnival, RCCL (3x), and now MSC). Did the FANTASICA experience. Ship was amazing. Confusing to navigate but we sussed it out by day 2.
room felt narrower than previous experiences. No separate chair or table in the room -- there was a combo stool / table / hassock that was tucked under the desk. Trash can had 3 special sections to it (yellow, Blue, red) .. never figured that out. Hair dryer is in the drawer under the desk. Mini bar was functional. I'm a tall person, and the toilet sitting experience is a little cramped as it is situated close to the sink -- which has about a 60 degree slant coming out into your "knee space" -- be prepared to do your duty side saddle.
No dresser. Closet space was ok to hang clothes. 2 drawers, 2 open shelves. Tight on space. Suit cases tucked nicely under bed. Bed was firm. Airflow was on the "very gentle" side. A/C was good. Windows were insulated and tinted to help keep the sun's energy under control.
Several USB ports in the room to charge phones and tablets -- but only if you put your room key in the "master power" slot by the front door. LED lights all over (good job!)
Highly suggest getting a excursion set up prior to coming into port. Ocho rios was confusing to get around. Local taxis seemed to be ok, but check first.
get off the main drag by a block or two for better deals and more authentic goods. Be prepared to wave off a lot of folks offering taxi rides, pharmacies, and (probably very stale) "Cuban Cigars" ..
Visited the Pirate Museum, walked up to Grey Cliff for pictures and stumbled on the National Museum of Art.
