If you are thinking of travelling on Carnival Sensation please DONT

If you are thinking of booking any Carnival ship please be aware if you encounter any problems your concerns will be ignored. I have waited several weeks to post my review to give Carnival customer services time to redeem themselves. But they have not. My advice is please think before spending your hard earned money booking a cruise on this ship as it may be memorable for all the wrong reasons. This is the first time in 20 years of cruising I have felt the need to complain.

On sailing we reported smoking on a nearby balcony (it appeared to be Marijuana) to our steward who said it would be reported immediately as this was very serious (it was not)

Cabin Review

Balcony

Balcony cabin, is really an ocean view cabin that has a hole cut in the outside wall and a thin balcony attached to the side of the ship. The bed was uncomfortable with bedding that was stained and smelt of others peoples sweat, we had to wrap pillows in towels to try to use them. The best sleep in 5 days were on sun loungers ! The toilets do not always empty on the initial flush, sometimes taking several seconds even up to a few minutes before emptying. One day the toilets did not work at all, we could not use the bathroom to shower as other people’s sewage had backfilled up to the brim of the bowl and the smell may us gag. We were advised to use public restrooms but these also had toilet bowls full of sewage so we had to wait until we left the ship.
