We sailed the Disney Dream for a 4 night cruise, and all we can say is "WOW!" Disney does cruising right. The entertainment was the best we had every seen on a cruise, and the friendliness and work ethic of the staff was exceptional. We cruised with kids ranging from 6-14, and there was something for everyone. Our oldest loved Vibe and Edge, and our youngest (who usually hate kids clubs) begged us to go back to the Oceaneer Lab again and again.

We opted for the late dining (8:15) which was a bit tough for the little ones (6 and 7) but, honestly, we wouldn't have wanted the earlier seating. We heard from other people that they were rushed to be ready for the early dinner, and then their kids would fall asleep during the shows. The late dinner watches the shows at 6:15pm, and they were so fantastic that we would've hated for the kids to be too tired to watch them. Also, having the late dinner seating meant our disembarkation breakfast was at 8 am (not at 6:15! Which is what the early dinner seating gets assigned).

Embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. We took the Disney bus to and from the airport, which was about a 40 min drive.

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 04D

Great location; central to the ship. We heard nothing; not our neighbors, no creaking of the ship, etc. Plenty of room for the 5 of us, and so much storage! Our suitcases fit under the bed, and there were plenty of hangers (about 20). We loved the two bathrooms (shower/sink in one and toilet/sink in the other). Our Stateroom host was fantastic; very helpful and a wealth of knowledge (Manesh). We also loved that the 6th floor was so central to everything. This meant we could just walk down 3 flights for dinner or up 5 flights for the pool. We rarely had to use the elevators, which could get REALLY crowded during peak dinner times. Being in the center of the ship also meant that we barely felt any movement. It was evident when we were towards the front of the ship for dinner that you could feel the movement more.

Castaway Cay

What a fantastic island! Something for everyone. Next time we will take a cruise that stops here twice.
