This cruise was my 8th cruise. I have gone on some of the newer boats as well as some of the older Fantasy class ships. This was a family vacation with my husband, almost 2 year old, my mother and 2 friends.

This was our first time driving to a port as we usually fly. But Mobile was about a 6 hour trip so we drove.

Mobile was also the most disorganized port I've been to. We were told that the Fantasy was an hour late getting back to port and so that there were delays with getting on the ship, which could explain some of the disorganization but not all. The staff were no help at all and we stood in long, unorganized lines until a loud and very rude lady who told me she "ran the place" came and started yelling at us for forming a line that was blocking the traffic in the parking garage. However two other workers just stood and watched us form the line without giving us any direction on where we should stand. To make a long story short it was all a mess. And the lady was very rude and inconsiderate and if she really is the one who is supposed to be running the whole operation I see why it was such a mess. Once we finally got inside things were much better and people were nicer. And the process of getting our room keys was fast and easy. Read more
