Having sailed with RCCL several times we thought we would give NCL a shot and see what all the hype was about. It was just that....hype! Check in went ok...we waited in line for about 20 minutes. Once on board we were able to get to our cabin. I had purchased a balcony and then bid on a mini suite and got it. The rooms are small! Thankfully we had a larger bathroom as I cannot imagine how small a regular bathroom would be.

There was trash on our couch when we arrived in the room. We thought...hmmm... just a mistake, an oversite...yeah well, it was an omen for what was to come. Our room attendant was the worst we have ever experienced. We couldn't figure out if he was just lazy or clueless. Our room was not cleaned 3 times. When I complained I was told to wait till evening turn down and had to request towels so that we could shower. The second time it happened I complained to guest services which then prompted the room attendant to come to my room and yell at me. He claimed we were in our room all day, when in fact we had gone out to shore for almost 4 hours! He still maintained it was my fault until I told him that I wasn't getting myself aggravated because of him and closed the door. He was so loud that my husband actually got out of the shower to make sure I was ok.

Other issues, it was a gamblers cruise. They had given away cruises and the table limits were at $10, which adds up and makes it impossible to play for a few hours which I normally like to do. The slots were locked up and impossible. I spent way too much money with little pleasure in the casino. Read more
