We chose this cruise at the last minute as a birthday gift to take a bit of the sting out of my turning the big 60. We weren't expecting much but very pleasantly surprised at how Carnival delivered such a great experience.

Embarkation, while a bit slow, was painless and moved along at the expected speed.

Ship was very well kept up with a few more additions since our last time on it. A Japanese restaurant that we didn't visit, was added as well as a coffee shop on Deck 2 that was quite enjoyable. They also added Guy Fieri's Burgers and the Blue Iguana on Deck 9 that were both delicious. The only comment on the burgers were they tended to be a bit on the greasy side. They also turned The Twilight Bar? into The Red Frog and they had a group playing each evening for dancing. The only comment on that was for the jazz music, the bass was so loud it made it difficult to enjoy the rest of the group. Hopefully they fixed that after the first evening.
