This was our first Alaska cruise on Ruby Princess. We have set a high expectation of this cruise based on the past reviews we had read on Cruise Critic and other website. Our flight to Seattle went smoothly. Transfer from Airport to Pier 91 was worth money we spent. Embarkation process was well organized and we were on the ship by about 12:00 Noon. Our balcony cabin was well appointed and clean. Our room attendant was polite and helpful. No complain with our cabin and room attendant. Then we went to Horizon buffet restaurant. Food choices were limited in this restaurant. Although their fresh fruit and cheeses were excellent. The buffet restaurants we had visited in other cruise ships (Royal Caribbean) had far more food variety. But the quality of food was more or less the same. The main dining room was total disappointment. Most food choices were bland, tasteless, and did not have the right color and presentation. The entertainment was also limited. Me and my wife had decided that we are not going to use the Princes Cruise again.
