My husband and I sailed 12-19August, 1st time cruisers with NCL and already had another booked aboard NCL Bliss for October, MX Riviera. We opted for an inside cabin.

It IS a long walk from the People Mover in Venice to where you drop your bags off before you check in to board. Luckily our suitcases have wheels but would have thought there would be porters to assist. Dropped bags, checked in and within 45 minutes of our arrival at 11am, we were aboard. We could not get to our cabin until around 2pm. We were ready for poolside, in our bathing suits so no big deal. We grabbed our 1st drink under our UBP and set up poolside.

Our cabin was 9005; largest bathroom we have ever had in any cabin and plenty of storage; our suitcases fit under the bed easily. We had the cabin steward empty out the fridge so we could store things in it. Room was well kept, refreshed nightly and the bed was very comfortable.

Port Reviews

Kotor

Tendered here; walked into Old Town and headed back to ship

Corfu

Took bus into town for a walk around; it was crowded and so dirty

Santorini

Tendered here; waited about 25 minutes to take cable car up and that was after all scheduled tenders were called; we left the ship about 2 hours after its arrival at about 3pm. Fira was over crowded and getting back down to the port to tender back to the ship was crazy as the MSC Lirica and Costa Deliziosa were also leaving. Not wanting to wait in the stifling heat 2 hours for a 36 seat cable car, we opted to take our chances and walked down the some 1500 stairs weaving in and out of the donkey poop, which took about 40 minutes. Something needs to be done for this port - riduculous

Mykonos

Tendered here so it dropped us off in town so no need to take a bus or walk the 30 minutes from the pier. Less crowded than our other ports because we arrived early!

Dubrovnik

We paid for the shuttle to Old Town; had planned to take the cable car up to Mt Srd but the lines were atrocious so we just walked around, bought some lavender and a souvenir cap and headed back on board.
