We stayed in a family suite (12030) and the service we received was excellent. Have cruised before on Disney twice and this was much superior. The food was great (we have travelled in first class BA and 5* AI hotels to put this in context). The inclusive drinks were of a high standard with premium brands and the port itinerary was fab - we particularly loved santorini, Dubrovnik and Venice. The suite benefits were well worth the upgrade (particularly avoiding the need to queue for tender tickets). We travelled as a group of 8 and those not staying in suites were also accommodated with priority tendering as long as we travelled together - a nice touch! Our room was beautiful with amazing views. Disembarkation was poor due to exceptional circumstances as we had a well publicised woman overboard event on our last evening however NCL did let us stay in our cabins for an extra 4 hours and provided full lunch in the main dining room with drinks. We had chosen to stay in Venice after our cruise which negated us having to rearrange onward travel which had affected others on the cruise so will definitely do this again!

Cabin Review

Family Suite

Cabin SJ

This room is wow! Slightly bigger than the other family suites due to the angle of the windows - floor to ceiling views plus views to the front of the ship. We had two children aged 17 and 10 with us and we had plenty of space. Our butler Ricky was lovely always bringing treats in the afternoon and just a friendly face every day. Bathroom lovely and spacious and the decor tasteful after the recent refurb.

Port Reviews

Venice

Beautiful! Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Highly recommend the secret itineraries tour of the Doges palace

Kotor

Very close to the port so no need to take an excursion if you only want to see Kotor itself. Beautiful little town but very hot!!

Santorini

You have got to visit this place it’s amazing!! We took the boat straight at the pier across to Oia for 15 euros avoiding the cable car. Well worth it!! This included free time in oia plus a bus back to Fira, free time there then we walked back down the donkey trail. The queues for the cable car were awful.

Mykonos

Again a tender port and you are straight into Mykonos town. Nice little harbour front and little back streets

Dubrovnik

Took the NCL shuttle into Dubrovnik again this is a must see!! Did the tour of the walls ourselves and it was gorgeous!
