We looked into island hopping and found it to be significantly more expensive than cruising the islands. This cruise gave a wonderful exposure to the islands. We went on excursions at all stops and each was enjoyable in its own way. This was our fifth cruise overall, and our first on NCL.
The ship was clean and gave us a smooth ride, but we also enjoyed great weather. Our cabin staff kept our linens replenished and the cabin was always clean. We dined primarily in the aft dining areas for dinner and the cafeteria for breakfast and lunches. The food was generally of good quality with significant choices for all palates. The two shows we attended were entertaining.
After the cruise we spent an additional four days on Oahu, leaving the day before hurricane Lane struck. We had booked our trip and rental car with AAA. We booked air travel ourselves through United Air lines. All flights and connections were on time.
Cabin was right sized with a large bed. Room care was excellent by the staff.
We tok a local tour of the coffee plantation
