NCL could not have made this dream vacation run any smoother. From Embarkation day to disembarkation day we were treated as valued customers. The food was fresh & delicious. With menus ranging from kid friendly to formal dining there is certainly something for everyone. Even the pickiest of eaters. I suggest taking advantage of all the specials / freebies they have to offer as it lends to a more carefree style cruise. The entertainment was fabulous both on stage and in the many designated areas. The atmosphere on the ship was wonderful adding to the experience. The staff were super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to please. Making reservations for dining / excursions are easy as one two three. The itinerary was out of this world. Many items on our bucket list were checked off such as; walking around (and in) a crater on Mount Etna; exploring the ruins of Pompeii; touring the palace of Princess Grace & Prince Rainier of Monaco and so much more. The scenery was stunningly beautiful at night with Italy's boot sparkling with lights and the sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea . . . well . . . you just have to experience it. Would we go again?? In a heartbeat!

A Once in a Lifetime Experience!! A definite must on for your bucket list.

Very clean and well tended too. Being Gold members we were gifted with a bottle of champagne along with many other benefits (none of which we had to ask for). It was so much fun to discover which towel animal we were going to find on our bed when retiring for the day. I would highly recommend at least an ocean view as the view is spectacular, especially if you are cruising along the shore with the twinkling lights in the distance. The daylight also helps to brighten the room.

We went onshore ourselves and took the double decker Hop On Hop Off bus. It allowed us to get on & off to see what we wanted. We took a cable car ride across the sea to the east side, dipped into the Mediterranean Sea (just because we could), had lunch and then caught the bus a few blocks down the road to finish an amazing tour. TIP: sit on the upper deck of the bus or you will miss a lot of the city's beautiful architecture.

One of the most beautiful places of the trip. Loads to see and learn about. An unexpected tour into the Palace of Princess Grace & Prince Rainer was very exciting. To watch the changing of the guards just added to the experience. Monte Carlo was amazing too.

Not only did we see the leaning tower of Pisa but the cathedral & basilica as well. Something very special happens I the basilica each day - amazing!

Do not take the Hop On Hop Off buses. They are not worth the time. Although they do cover 2-3 routes for one price no one could tell us which route we were on as they all depart from the same location. We only wanted to go on the 1.5 hour ride and ended up on the 3 hour+ ride. Not much to see outside of the tourist area. Bus driver was more of a race car driver. My husband lost his hat and we had to duck from tree branches. Our friends too the excursion and said it was one of their highlights.

We went onshore ourselves and soon discovered that although there are many outdoor vendors the regular shops are closed on Sundays. Still a very clean & pretty place to visit.

  • Pompeii Walking Tour
Yet another OMG tour. I found myself saying 'I can't believe we're here'. To be standing in a place that the world sees in history books / on documentaries on TV was definitely a pinch me moment. I am still trying to absorb all we saw and learned that day. Amazing! Bucket list . . . check!

A city tour is a great way to see & experience the culture. We visited the Cathedral in depth and saw/learned many amazing historical facts about it. We also visited the cameo factory as Majorca is famous for. We had an hour or so to ourselves to explore the area - did some shopping and ate lunch.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to, not only walk around a volcanic crater, but to actually walk inside it and collect a lava rock too!! The highlight of my life! Bucket list . . . check!
