We chose this cruise as our son is part of the show team onboard and we went to see him. We were not too sure what to expect as we had read some mixed reviews and we knew the Spirit was quite an old ship. We were so pleasantly surprised at what a fantastic ship it is.

All of the crew were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, they always greeted us with a smile and remembered our names. The ship itself was very clean and tidy and there were always crew around cleaning. There was a great choice of food in the Lido which we used for breakfast and lunch. We used the Compass Rose for our evening meals and although there was less to choose from, there was a big enough variety on the menu. Jojo was our waiter and he was lovely and saved our table at the same time each night for us.

We did the wine tasting excursion in Tarragona and had a fantastic day. We had a tour of the vineyard and the wine cellars, finishing off with the wine tasting which was amazing. Our coach guide was very knowledgable about Tarragona itself and told us lots about the area as we drove to the vineyard. Definitely worth doing this trip. Read more
