I’ve only ever been on Carnival before so I did not know what to expect from a Norwegian ship. But it was absolutely amazing! There is so much to say about the Norwegian Getaway but in short, the boat was stylish, lots of space, fun activities (my wife won the Ultimate Dance Competition and that was one of the highlights of our cruise!), delicious food (with plenty of vegetarian options!!), hilarious comedians (Mark Viera was amazing), friendly staff (shout out to our stateroom steward Kadek on deck 9! He’s so nice, caring, always asked us about our day, and checked in on us twice a day), spacious cabin and balcony, great itinerary (I didn’t realize Norwegian takes you to different ports than the other cruise lines I.e. Harvest Caye, the private island in Belize only for Norwegian was incredible), no waiting in lines to get on or off ports, and loved the Freestyle Dining. I can’t wait to go on another cruise with Norwegian!
Very clean, spacious, beautiful bathroom.
Beautiful port, marketplace with lots of shops, just a lot of local Mexican employees begging to buy something from their shops.
It’s a private island that Norwegian owns and it basically looks like a resort. Huge pools, beach area, restaurant and shops, Lighthouse with zip lining, kayaks, paddle boats, and more. This was my favorite port!
The port was pretty, I didn’t go out into the city at all just looked around the shops. I got a beautiful original painting there for cheap straight from the artist.
I live in Miami so I didn’t do anything but arrive to the ship.
