This was our first cruise. NCL was recommended by a friend. It was suggested we get a balcony room which was worth the extra money. We didn’t spend a lot of time sitting out there but being able to open the curtain and door made the room feel much bigger (3 of us in the room). We got the free at sea package and did upgraded dinning and unlimited drink packages. Highly recommendable. The ship was very well kept and clean. Lots of daily activities. When the weather was good the pool area is a lot of fun. The dining options are good, the included dining areas can get a bit crowded but not bad. The upgraded dining was fantastic food. The buffet is a bit of a circus as it is crowed and loud but what would you expect. We did only breakfast there and I recommend get your food and going to the observation deck. Quite, nice views and they have drinks and other breakfast items. The shows were fun, we saw the Beatles a number of times as well as Havana and Jersey Boys. The comedian was good and did a 16 and under show as well as an adult show(for a little more edge) We did a float plane trip over the glaciers which was breathtaking. I recommend trying to set up excursions on your own before you go. Much cheaper. We had a great family trip. Oh and if you like art, the art auction is fun and the Parkwest people were fantastic (thanks Kirstie)

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin BF 9846
Nice, well kept room. All bags fit under bed. Closet had enough room for the hanging clothes we bought. Balcony was a must as it made the room seem bigger. Nice big bed for my wife and I and a futon type couch for our daughter. You do have to work with each other when getting ready to do things but no different then a hotel room on land.

  • Float Plane
If you don’t do this you are missing out. By far the highlight of our trip. Ward air isnt a tourist company but if you call them they will book an hour long flight over the glaciers, land in a lake and we didn’t see another plane. Awesome
