This was a birthday cruise and I traveled with a good friend. I've traveled on many cruise lines including Carnival, Costa, Celebrity,Holland America, MSN, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean. This was first cruise on Princess, I was not impressed.
The ship is nice, not beautiful. Shops had a limited selection of merchandise and no t-shirts which was surprising. Day time activities were limited, and I was disappointed in the bingo as the crew pushes everybody to rent a i pad which has 30 games. Art auctions were pushed as well. The shows ranged from excellent to mediocre. The bars were good, especially the lobby bar on deck 5, the bar tenders were great. The International cafe on deck 5 was also good and was the only place on the ship to get a tuna fish salad sandwich. I purchased a specialty coffee at Grounds, the coffee shop on deck 5, it was lukewarm and not good. I did participate in a wine tasting event which was enjoyable, also met some fun and interesting people who I really liked. Gym was ok, a lot of treadmills but the actual area to work out and lift weights was small.
Skywalker lounge (the disco) was disappointing and the music was not good.
This cabin is located on deck 5, Plaza deck. The cabin is small but has a lot of drawers and closet space. Bathroom is very small and shower is tiny. I liked this cabin, it was quiet, never heard any noise.
Still a lot of hurricane damage. Visited the old synagogue, always enjoyable. Shopped, went to the Mountain top, drank a banana daiquiri. Had fun!
