Celebrity Reflection Cruise Review by Iain Hirschfeld
- Sail Date: July 2018
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Concierge Class
The reality exceeded our best expectations. From airport to ship and return was expertly handled. Luggage taken from us at airport and appeared in our stateroom without any effort on our part!. Every moment we spent on board this luxurious floating palace was delightful. Our concierge stateroom was superb for the three adults involved, self, wife and adult daughter, with a balcony that we spent most late evenings on watching the sea below us sipping our champagne. Faciltities excellent. Valeting of room was superb. Collin was a lovely person and he kept our room immaculate. Lovely extras like fruit, canapes in the afternoon, chocolate on the pillow at turndown time. Stateroomsa at the back are really worth thinking about. Superb panoramic view of the sea and places we have just visited. Big balconies.
The entertainment on board was terrific. Far more than we could ever manage to cover, but we did our best. Theatre shows were superb. Dancing in the moonlight on top deck till the wee hours was fun. So many places to eat, but we stuck to the Opus. Couldn't have been better and our waiters, Jose and Aresh, were charming, helpful and attentive. Sommelier was also great. The food was magnificent, with a huge selection that would do justice to the best of onshore establishments. We loved our time on board.
Huge selection of shore excursions. We booked ours in advance, but changed one during the voyage. All were good with one exception. Athens panoramic coach tour. Guide was obsessed with taking us to shops." I know you all love shopping". Quick view of the Parthenon from gardens below then a shop that made name tags in Greek writing, then a tour of the centre and a longer visit to a shop. She also gave us all a row for being asleep. Basically we had turned off. The rest were fine.Knowledgeable guides with a sense of humour and very attentive.
I have been praising the holiday since we got off the ship and will go back as soon as we get enough pennies in the savings jar again. It is an expensive holiday, but you realise why once you have experienced it.

City TourToo much emphasis on shops. One near the Parthenon that sold tags with names in Greek writing. Guide took us there and lingered. Then a bus tour of some of the city sights with another shop stop where guide entered with us and demonstrated a range of the products. Unusual! She also gave us several rows for being asleep. In fact, many of us were turned off. Would not recommend.View All 154 City Tour Reviews
City TourMy only criticism was too little time in Mdina. It was a fascinating walled city and we really only had an hour. Being hungry by the time we got there, it was mostly taken up finding a nice place to eat. Will certainly want to go back there and spend a lot more time exploring this ancient walled city.View All 70 City Tour Reviews
City TourWe really had the chance to visit the whole island. Fascinating. Coaches well organised and guide very interesting. Reasonable amount of free time to explore.View All 41 City Tour Reviews
RhodesWe went ashore and walked about the old city within the walls. Lots to see. Plenty of good places to eat. Then took a hop on hop off bus round the new town, beach hotels etc and up to the top to the Roman ruins. A good excursion, let us see all of the city.View All 464 Rhodes Cruise Port Reviews

Mount EtnaExcellent coach tour with stops for photos and at the refuge area. Time to visit the lower volcanic sites and enjoy a drink and Sicilian specialty. Visit to jewellery factory/shop proved very costly!!!! Don't take wife AND daughter!!!View All 80 Mount Etna Reviews
