We chose this cruise because it was a new ship and looked really beautiful online.
The Seaview turned out to be a magnificent ship, with great ports- Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Messina, Naples, and Valletta, Malta. It was also easy to navigate your way onboard.
The cruise line offers ports that other cruise lines do not.
The dates the cruise offered were convenient for us.
Embarkation and Disembarkation went very smoothly. There were no lines. Our luggage arrived at our room shortly after were checked into out cabin. The cabin was a balcony cabin on deck 9. There was enough room in the cabin for my husband and myself. It could be tight for a family of 4. Cabins were tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable.
We ate in the dining room every evening. All other meals were eaten at the buffet restaurant.
The food was average. Many items that used to be included on the menu, are offered, but you must pay extra for them. There were many packages for extras- bar, soda, water, coffee, steak, lobster, etc.
The shore excursions were offered in many languages, and there were very few offered in each port. Entertainment was lacking. The show at night was 35 minutes and utilized the same group of performers every night in a different show.
Entertainment during the day did not exist. There was no social director. They had a big screen tv above the panorama deck, which never had a movie playing!
The shops had a poor selection of souvenirs. Handbags looked like copies.
There were many children on board and they offered many activities for them.
The main problem we had on this cruise was that no passengers spoke English. This was a European line and we were unaware that this would present itself as a problem. So, we met no one on this trip.
All in all, this was a worthwhile cruise, but not sure if we would go on MSC again.
Clean, comfortable, adequate room for belongings. Suitable for 2.
It was a great tour, but we were only in Naples for a few hours.
View All undefined undefined ReviewsThe problem with this tour was that it was giv n in 4 languages. The guide was multi lingual. Unfortunately, we felt she said very little in English.
